Your track to success starts here
Global Freshman Academy is the result of a powerful partnership between Arizona State University and edX, a cutting edge leader in online higher education. As you progress through your courses, you'll work within the edx.org platform. Each course is created and taught by ASU professors.
1 Register for your course
Select from a variety of introductory level courses taught by some of the best professors in the world.
Click the “Enroll” button on the course you’d like to take. You’ll be taken to the edX platform, where each course is delivered. You’ll also register on the edX website, which is in partnership with Arizona State University. Don’t worry; we still know it’s you!
2 Verify your identity
ID verification is what lets us know that you are actually the person taking a course. You must verify your identity to receive college credit at the end of a course. ID verification costs 49 USD (compare to the average textbook, which costs 150 USD). Visit our FAQs page for more information on ID verification.
3 Complete your course
Each course has specific start and end dates, so you’ll need to manage your time and stay on schedule. All GFA courses can be taken online from anywhere in the world. If you have a reliable Internet connection, you can take GFA courses.
At the end of each course is an online proctored exam. To earn college credit, we need to make sure you are keeping it real and not cheating.
5 Obtain ASU credit
Get ASU credit only after you’re happy with your grade. You can apply this credit towards a college degree. The cost of a GFA class is 600 USD.
Remember, you only pay tuition after you’ve successfully passed the class and are happy with your final grade.
6 Finish your college degree
Each GFA course counts as real ASU credit and every course moves you closer to actually graduating college. After GFA, complete your degree online at ASU, an ASU campus, or another university.
